Progress Reports
Progress reports go home on Thursday, February 5th.

School Play
Anyone interested in being involved in this year’s play, get an audition packet from Ms. Lawson. Auditions will be February 19th and 20th.

ACT
All juniors will be taking the practice ACT test on February 3rd in Dietz. Juniors need to report to their 1st period classes for attendance and then they will be called down to Dietz for testing.

AP Stats
The AP Stats study session is Saturday, February 7th from 9:00-12:30 in Lloyd’s Library.

Tennis
Conditioning for the next few weeks will only be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Rotary
There will be a Rotary Interact meeting in the youth service center Tuesday February 3rd from 3 to 3:15 to discuss the Dominican Republic service project.

Freshman Rewards
Freshman who received permission slips for the field trip to Super Bowl on Friday need to turn in their permission slips to Mrs. Hodges by Thursday. You will be released from there so plan accordingly.

Seniors
As of February 10th the cost of graduation cap/gown/tassel will go up to $50. Get your orders in ASAP. You can order online at balfour.com or give your order form and money to Mrs. Gillis in the front office. Cost of other items goes up as well and will eventually be unavailable.

Musical
Don’t miss Lloyd’s production of The Music Man and the debut of our faculty barbershop quartet featuring Jason Stolz, Jordan Floyd, Tim Ferguson and Ryan Kellinghaus.
Performances are on Thursday, February 12th at 7:00 pm and Saturday, February 14th at 7:00 pm.

Cinderella’s Closet of Northern Kentucky
Cinderella’s Closet will be open for ONE WEEKEND ONLY in 2015! The dates are Friday, March 20th – 4:30 to 6:30 and Saturday, March 21st – 9:30 am to 3:00 PM. Register with Mrs. Moore in the youth service center.

STEM Expo
Lloyd will host a STEM Expo on March 31st from 8am – 3pm in Dietz Auditorium. All freshmen will have the opportunity to explore careers related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math during the day by visiting booths. We are currently seeking individuals from STEM-related businesses and organizations who would be willing to spend the day at a booth sharing their professional experiences and providing information about education and training. If you are interested in being a part of the Expo by sharing your expertise, please contact Mrs. Stolz at [email protected].

Pictures for Yearbook
The yearbook staff needs your help! Please send pictures of you and your friends at Lloyd activities- homecoming, parent day, sporting events, competitions, hanging out after school… We need individual, small group and large group pictures. All pictures turned in or email to Mrs. Hawes will be one entry in a drawing for a $10 Dunkin Donuts gift card. Picture must be received by Friday February 13th to be entered in the drawing. Media Workshop
Are you a high school student with an interest in media? You are invited to a free workshop to meet professionals in broadcasting, journalism and web journalism. It’s casual, fun and you’ll get to tour the 9 on your side studios! It’s on Saturday February 28th from 10am-12pm. Seating is extremely limited! The price for a yearbook is now $35, you can get your order form in the library or order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com.

Congratulations

 

Archery
Congratulations to Lauren McMillen on her score of 268 Friday at the Lexington Christian Academy Archery Tournament.  She had 9 tens and ranked 26 out of 119 high school girls, 2nd out of 18 12th grade girls and 38th out of 334 overall girls, she was our top team scorer.  Brandon Bryant was our top male scorer, with a score of 264/7 tens.  He ranked 41st out of 151 high school boys, 4th out of 16 12th grade boys, and 54th out of 433 overall boys.  Rounding out the team were: Nathan Heyob, Shelby Worthington, Virginia Allgeyer, Fabiola Avila Turcios, Skyler Vornberger, Alexis Sheldon, Mike Straub, Jeremy Gooch, and Tyler Russ.  The team will be competing at Simon Kenton this Saturday then in the Regional Tournament at Calvary Christian February 13th.
